Convention date announced seems to be the date for the final burial of the party in power due to crisis from several blocks.
The crisis rocking the party in both states and the national, require the President’s personal intervention but the president seems to be looking at the other side.
The APC needs a united front ahead of its first convention ever since it assumed power, but the political observers blamed state governors, for igniting some of the crises, when they allegedly hijacked party machinery and scuttling internal democracy.
A day to the National convention of the ruling party, all seems not going well within the party that came into power with the popular slogan of the “change” mantras. The body language of the outspoken Senator from Kogi west, is very clear that all is not well. Earlier The Nigeria Times reported the ongoing cold war between Katsina State governor Aminu Bello Massari and Kaduna State Mallam, Nasir El-rufai, over who becomes the next Deputy Chairman in-charge of the North West, not knowing how to pretend. Melaye lampooned the President and blames him of being responsible for the entire crisis that rock the ruling party.
The senator took to his verified twitter handle and sent a direct message to Asorock.
@dino_melaye “A party in power is supposed to guide the presidency in implementing party manifesto, policies, programmes & promises. Instead the presidency controls the party like a car steering, the weak leadership of the party became lifeless.
The story of APC; There was a party called APC!!!
