The Kogi State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party today witnessed a large convergence of party faithfuls and supporters of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, front line governorship aspirant for the forthcoming November governorship election.
The PDP members who all showed enthusiasm as they all listen attentively and with rapt attention, the seamless delivery of the guber hopeful, who assured that if elected, the state would experience a new lease of life.
Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim whose eloquent speech was at interval punctured with shouting of sai Abuibro, heralded his well articulated blueprint, mission and vision for the state, promised to turn around the negative fortune of the state when elected.
The PDP governorship aspirant while addressing the state party and local government executives, says he was moved to join in the race to salvage the state, lamented that the state once a pride of all, is now an epitome of poverty, insecurity and lack of infrastructure, says enough is enough.
The PDP guber hopeful says Health, education, welfare of the citizens and improved infrastructure would be his priorities if elected, urged for the support of party men and women in actualizing the rescue mission.
He disclosed that his pedigree in the private sector, blended with an understanding of public, and political economics, places him in a vintage to deliver purposeful leadership, says his joining the race is a personal conviction, geared towards making the state great again.
The PDP hopeful urged members to in their decision to return the party back to Lugard House put aside sentiments that would create disaffection, said what is needed is the coming together of every one towards making the PDP victorious in the governorship election.
Abubakar Ibrahim appealed to the party executives to rally round him as no man is island, calls for their support, advises and votes in the forthcoming delegates election, insisting that he is in the race base on personal conviction said working with other members of the party effecting the needed change would be made possible.
