Some APC stakeholders have asked Buhari to sack Abba Kyari, the president’s chief of staff – According to the group, Nigerians elected Muhammadu Buhari and not Mamman Daura, Ismaila Funtua, or Abba Kyari – The group called on President Buhari to take the wheel of the Nigerian ship and fulfill his promise to Nigerians Members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of Concerned APC National Stakeholders (CANS) have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack Abba Kyari, his chief of staff. To press home their demand, CANS members stormed Defense House, an Annex of Presidential Villa in Maitama on Monday, June 24.
They specifically asked President Muhammadu Buhari to take full control of government from the hands of his lieutenants as he starts his second term administration, Daily Trust reports. Some of the placards they carried had different inscriptions such as ‘Abba Kyari Must Go’, ‘PMB Must Take Charge of the Government’, ‘We Need Fresh Ideas Not Recycling Men and Women Who Have Spent Over 40 Years in Government’, and ‘Hardwork Must Be Rewarded’ among others.
UGC Dr Symeon Chilagorom, the convener of the group argued that Nigerians elected President Buhari and not Mamman Daura, Ismaila Funtua, and Abba Kyari,. He insisted that Nigerians would not accept the repeat of the first term and consequently called on Buhari to take the wheel of the Nigerian ship. The group called on President Buhari to take the wheel of the Nigerian ship and fulfill his promise to Nigerians.
UGC “Fellow Nigerians, we are members of All Progressives Congress (APC) Concerned National Stakeholders, we invite you here today to drive our demands to the whole world, and particularly to President Muhammadu Buhari. “Our demand is a simple one, the people of this country elected Muhammadu Buhari as their President, not Mamman Daura, not Ismaila Funtua, and definitely not Abba Kyari. The group said Nigerians elected Muhammadu Buhari and not Mamman Daura, Ismaila Funtua, or Abba Kyari.
UGC “Only President Buhari has our mandate to govern over the affairs of this nation, in light of that, we are simply asking that President Buhari should take back control of his government and begin to walk his talk during the campaign by delivering on the promises made,” he said.
