The former kogi state Commissioner for, Finance Hon Zakari Alfa has congratulated the former governor of Kogi State , His Excellency, Capt. Idris Wada who is today celebrating his glorious existence here on earth as he turns a septuagenarian. In his congratulatory message made available to the press,Hon Zakari Alfa, who had the rare privilege to work with Capt wada as a Commissioner describes his ex boss as a quintessential personality and gentleman per excellence who demonstrated great leadership qualities in his days as governor. In his words, I worked with a man who was never domineering, a true democrat and highly detribalised leader but deep in spirituality. A very focused man, non sectional with a sense of humility and descipline that was simply infectious.A retrospective assessment of His Excellency, Capt.Wada’s four years sojourn in the Lugard House will only earn him praises for his numerous contributions to the development of the state and considering his foresightedness in the infrastructural voyage even though they was a trajectory that truncated his plans. Out of power but certainly not out of relevance as he continues to show support for the party in our collective determination to restore dignity in governnce and possibly redeem the lost glory of the State. A true statesman and a humanist by all standard whose sense of mentorship is legendary.
I remain eternally grateful to you for providing me with the platform and indeed the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of people in Kogi State. I also appreciate the fact you believed so such in my capacity and integrity to man the affairs of the most sensitive ministry under your humble leadership, thank you very much your Excellency.
