As a result of insecurities especially in northern Nigeria, Ahmad Gumi said he strives to negotiate with bandits ‘to lower their arms for a safe Nigeria’. He often enters the forest reaching out to their various Bandits camps and hideout, persuading them to desist from kidnapping or killing people for ransom.
