Manchester United have reportedly ruled out any possibility to sign Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Star, Man United declined the chance to sign Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window due to Napoli’s 100 million euros (approximately) valuation of the attacker.

Osimhen featured prominently on a list of potential summer targets after Man United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick was asked to draw up a list by the club’s CEO Richard Arnold.

Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli will expire at the end of the 2024-2025 season.

The 23-year-old joined Napoli from Lille in 2020.

Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for Napoli so far this season despite an injury-disrupted season that saw him miss the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
