The Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana, His Excellency Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin led a delegation of Ghana’s Parliamentary Service Board on a visit to the National Assembly Service Commission, Abuja.

The team was on a study tour of the Commission to understudy the processes and procedures of legislative service administration with the view to repositioning their Board for efficient and effective service delivery.
Rt.Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, who is also the Chairman of the Ghana Parliamentary Service Board, expressed joy with the way the Commission guided them and proffered answers to the numerous questions the Board presented for clarification.

Earlier, NASC Executive Chairman, Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi, had briefed the visitors on the history and workings of the Commission while the Secretary to the Commission , Mr Ikharo Lucky, led the Management of the Commission to explain the nitty gritty of the workings of the legislative bureaucracy in Nigeria.
The Deputy Head of Mission in the High Commission of Ghana in Nigeria, His Excellency Edison Agbenyegah, accompanied the Speaker and other staff of the Board on the visit. The Clerk to the Parliament of Ghana, Mr Cyril Kwabena Otemg Nsiah was also in the delegation.
The team will have a session with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Assembly Management on Tuesday and another with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) on Wednesday to consolidate on the lessons being learnt from Nigeria on the management of legislative bureaucracy .
