Dear members! I want to thank you most sincerely for the honour to work with me through out this process of selling our candidate to the people. The whole state knew and heard our voices, Murilight 🔥🔥 became one of, if not the most vocal groups in this primary election of the APC. That in itself is victory, it’s victory because we had in no distance time formed a team that was carefully selected and very formidable, very competent with content and has enlightened the people on why Hon. Muri Ajaka is the best to lead us at this time.

Supreme Court To Decide, Shettima’s ‘Double Nomination’ Today

As your leader, it will be hypocritical to tell you that I don’t feel the pains and understand this very difficult moment where some few criminal elements in their desperation and outright disobedient to the conscience unleashed mayhem on our democratic values which are the right of participation and right to make our individual choices. Despite this, we repelled their attack, we kept vigil and ensured that we got the mandate of the people. We secured a convenient lead as Hon Murtala got over 350,000 votes as against the 74,000 votes of the distant 2nd position.

Today, they might have assumed victory by fiat through a self-conceived position and think we are down, broken, chartered while they jubilate temporarily until justice prevails. I am very confident and I want to promise you that all administrative/ legal processes will be taken to get justice and return the mandate duly and freely given to our candidate.

Certainly, they are testing our resolve of a non violent group, but do not allow the blood sockers achieve their aims. For the first time, we supported and marketed a candidate into an election and defeated them without a single gun shot. We must not allow the glaring criminality to temp us into crisis.

Our weakness today is our biggest point tomorrow. They thought we are weak because we did not follow them house by house and burn their properties, we decided to use the legal means to achieve what we earned through hard work. That’s the right, courageous and most noble thing to do.

Today, they stole the mandate of the people ignorantly without acknowledging that our candidate ran for this election. They allocated votes to whoever they wanted and eliminated our candidate’s name completely.

Governor Yahaya Bello and his accomplices have once again dared the people and together we shall defeat them through the most viable means using the various ways as provided by our party and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The plot to stage a war by hijacking the committee members in a day light rubbery without the Chairman of the committee who is the returning officer, a glaring usurpation of a right that was hitherto not his, without the agents of Aspirants but went ahead in their desperation to announced a charade called results of an election is a direct invitation to provocation and a call to anarchy.

Remember if we take that line, then they have achieved their aims. The committee as constituted today has insulted the collective intelligence of Kogi people. Governor Metawalle felt the heat when our group called for caution of the excesses of this committee. Knowing fully well the Ramadan Season, the Governor of Zamfara State who is the returning officer as the chairman of the committee, absconded in the night to Abuja leaving the secretary who has no business announcing a results to do so. This terrible incident as copied from Kogi is becoming the other of the day looking at the Adamawa example where officers now jump into a work that is not theirs because it’s ovaltly or covaltly corrupt and juicy. So Hon Patrick anointed himself to do the dirty job.

Our candidate shall use all avenue available to reclaim this mandate and ensure that the results of the election that took place on the 14th is announced.

The All Progressive Congress, as a party, must swing into action to avoid Zamfara experience. Kogi people will have their way through the ballot and nobody will support this illegality.

We wish to thank the entire people of Kogi state for their support and resolve to elect their leader in supposedly transparent process, rather than the wicked hitherto indirect mode, which was jettisoned as a result of the fireworks from Muri’s camp. The delegate lists failed all integrity tests, and hence were thrown into the dustbin by d courts of public opinion as well as a competent court of law.

Alh Murtala Yakubu Ajaka is today the most popular candidate in the entire process because he was dogged, determined and resilient enough to challenge the so -called system, which has started her final journey into oblivion. He won in their plots to disqualify him, the plots to screen him out, the plot to stop him through the court and when they new that the have lost in all fronts, they took the law into their hands, became the organs of the party, became the plaintiff, the defendant, the court and the judge by removing Murtala Yakubu’s name from the list they manufactured to declare a winner. This assumed platform for criminality is the strongest point for us.

Recall that after the successive failed attempts to suspend Murtala Ajaka, the party went ahead to screen and certified him for the election, the candidate also got an experte order and a stay of execution to close any window they may wish to explore. These documents were appropriately served on the party and were both received. Now who communicated otherwise to the election committee to dance nakedly in the village market square as they did in the wee hours of that morning? So we thank them for such huge provision of gaps in their rush to swim in a dangerous act.

We are once again, very grateful to the people and we can not thank them enough for the support, throughout the process. Our candidate has promised to use the legal means in bringing back their mandate and a very loud voice, which resonates and echoes in every corners of Kogi state on the 14th of March 2023.

Alh Murtala Yakubu Ajaka promised to speak to you soonest as he plead for your patience and to ensure you get back to your legal businesses without any fear. Your mandate is intact.

Thank you most sincerely.
