ATTAH IGALA STOOL: Ten(10) Princes to Appear before Igalamela College of Kingmakers.


Subsequent upon the declaration of the vacant stool of Attah Igala by The Achadu Oko Attah, about fourteen Princes from three ruling Houses of Attah Igala Dynasty (Aju Ameacho, Aju Akogu and , Aju Akwu) have submitted applications to the Prime Minister of Igala Kingdom who has forwarded 10 out 15 applications received for ‘Ita’ (Lineage proverb ) before the Igalamela Kingmakers for selection

The date of the contest is not yet know, however, these are the name of aspirants shortlisted for the contest before the kingmakers. They are:

1. Usman Atodo- Aju Akogu clan
2. Igono Adaji- Aju Ameacho
3. Okoliko Opaluwa- Aju Ameacho
4 Ocholi Opaluwa- Aju Ameacho
5.. Mathew Opaluwa – Aju Ameacho
6. Ekele Atodo- Aju Akogu
7. Samuel Opaluwa- Aju Ameacho
8. Adejoh Obaje,-Aju Akwu
9. Isah Achimugu- Aju Ameacho
10. Abdullahi Musa- Aju Akwu.

Although, by rotation order, it is the turn of Aju Ameacho clan to produce the next Attah, Intrigues, loby, strategies and calculations have started. It is going to be an interesting scenario in the coming days for the Igala Nation as only one out of these aspirants shall be selected to be Attah Igala designate.
