Witches and wizard in the country, under the aegis of White Witches and Wizards of Nigeria (WWAWAN), have predicted that Governor Hope Uzodimma, Senator Dino Melaye and Timipre Sylva, who are contesting for the governorship of Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa states respectively in the November 11 election, will fail woefully at the polls if they fail to heed to wise counsel.

Senate Leader Bamidele faults 2024 Budget

The spokesman of White Witches and Wizards of Nigeria (WWAWAN), Dr Okhue Iboi, who revealed this in an interview in Lagos at the weekend, said that the group has x-rayed the three off-cycle elections before coming out with its observations on the polls.

He said that contrary to speculations that incumbency factor would play a role in the Imo election, where Governor Uzodimma is gunning for a second term, the fight would be between Labour Party’s (LP), Athan Achonu and People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP), Samuel Anyanwu.

Hear him: “When we met in the coven to review the three off-cycle governorship elections, we examined all the political parties and their candidates and their chances of winning the election. We noticed that Uzodimma is terribly hated by his people. Also remember that he’s governor not by popular will, but by legal technicalities of the Supreme Court. Till date, his people derisively refer to him as Supreme Court Governor. The senseless killing in the state is another albatross he is carrying. His people thought that he is the brain behind the spate of killings perpetrated by Unknown Gunmen (UGM) and destruction of property of the people. So, the people believe he is their sponsor. This is very unfortunate anyway, but that is what we saw in the coven.”

He, therefore, charged security operatives to tighten up security in the politically charged and volatile state to avert bloodbath during the poll.

On Bayelsa State, Dr Iboi said that the former Bayelsa State governor, Sylva, would not go anywhere.

“Recall that I had in a statement predicted that he would suffer a setback in his candidacy for the ruling APC. Now, he is fighting the battle of his life to retain the candidacy of the party, which the court had taken away from him. If he gets it, we don’t see him going far with it,” Iboi declared.

Speaking on Kogi State election, he said that there are three leading political parties.

“The Social Democratic Party (SDP) is as strong as the APC and PDP in the state. When we met in Idah, Okenne, Ankpa, and other parts of the state, Governor Yahaya Bello’s candidate would have won easily in the state, but he appeared to have shot himself in the foot by listening to wrong advice.

“The people that advised him not to field his deputy will cost him the election victory in the state. When we got to the coven, we were told that all his strategies of destabilizing the election by fomenting trouble will not fetch him victory. There will be bloodbath in Kogi, but Bello will still lose the election.  So, we saw the election is between PDP and SDP.

“For Dino Melaye, he’s very recalcitrant. We’ve invited him a couple of times for a strategic meeting, but you know, pride goes before a fall. His vain pomposity will be his undoing.  And if he fails to heed our call, he will be shell-shocked about the outcome of the election.

“Governor Bello has already lost out of favour with his people by not fielding his deputy governor to succeed him, but preferring to field his brother.

“If Dino is serious about ruling Kogi, he should come and see WWAWAN for guidance. If he fails to come, after the election, I will remind him the way I reminded Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the PDP. We had warned him against his empty aristocratic pomposity and that former Rivers State governor, Nyeson Wike, will laugh last. Between Atiku and Wike, who is nursing the brutal heartbreak of a crushing defeat? Who is smiling and who is gnashing teeth?

“While Wike is the Minister of the FCT, Abuja, which is akin to his continuing to hold the position of a state governor, Atiku is busy chasing shadows, looking for one useless needle in a haystack; unnecessarily heating up the polity and distracting President Bola Tinubu’s attention to address major socio-economic problems he (Atiku) partly created during his eight years of acrimonious vice presidency with General Olusegun Obasanjo.

“On his US fishing expedition, we have also started reviewing the case. Like terrestrial law courts, we also sit and weigh matters on the strength of evidence adduced. So, we are sitting on it in the coven, but from our preliminary findings, Atiku has succeeded in wasting his time and his enormous resources.

“Once again, I enjoin Peter Obi and Atiku to team up with Tinubu to rebuild Nigeria because the president will finish fine. We cannot speak about the second term because of the many challenges in Aso Rock. There will be a problem that will shock everyone,” Dr Iboi said.
