Zacharia Promotes Unity With First Independence Day In Kogi Soccer Fiesta

All is now set for the maiden Kogi State Independence Day Cup competition that is aimed at promoting peace and unity in the state and country at large.

The competition which will be organized by Success Tiyu International is sponsored by a member representing Idah Federal Constituency at Federal House Representatives, Hon. David Idris Zacharias. According to Director of Success Tiyu, Musa Abubakar, the competition will be played between September 30 and October 1st at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

Abubakar who described Hon. Zacharias as a philanthropist and sports advocate who believes that sport is a strong and vital tool for unification and as such wants to use this competition to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence. He added that the federal lawmaker also believed that the competition will serve as an avenue to sensitize Kogites on the need to sustain and promote peace in the State as well use it to celebrate Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello on his recent victory at the apex court.
